Hi:
I would like to know if the default for stabs debugging using the symify
backtrace of the dump, gdb-4.16 thru gcc-2721 and rhide1.3 is only of the
form:
function + offset.
If I use coff debugging I get an output of the form:
function + offset , line-number in file
I prefer the latter format, but, with this form of debugging the line
number is correct but the file may not be correct. I don't know yet how to
read the offset. I have to compile separately to get the linenumber if
rhide does not catch the exception, and it generally does not, and that
has to be done in DOS.
I would like to know if I can change the stabs format to that of the coff
format or secondly how to read the offset to get the linenumber. I would
prefer the first option.
Also, should rhide catch arithmetic exceptions and give the backtrace, it
doesn't do it for me.
Thanks
