c++ is not necessarily harder, but there are a lot more things to
consider.  However, yes, i would recommend learning c before c++ due
to the fact that it would take a little longer to learn c++ and also
many find that they remain with c and don't continue on with c++. For
example, many games are written in pure c because of the overhead that
a c++ compiler creates when calling constructurs etc.
