Hi tbakir & others who might be interested,

You should check out michelle, it's a full-screen DOS file-manager
(shell) and you can among other things play WAV-files or view
256-color BMP-files by just hitting <Enter> when you're on the file
you want.
It's freeware (DJGPP C-source included) and you can find it at
http://www.geocities.com/SiliconValley/Vista/6617/index.html
