Well, I've tested it only with ping and it worked.

Sounds you have played a bit with DJGPP port of Wattcp, haven't you ?
How do you think, would it be easier to add missing parts to 
the Wattcp package or to write something else from scratch.
(Well not from scratch really, but based on KA9Q)
