If you are running on the console, then you can use inside RHIDE
all the Alt+ function keys for RHIDE. To switch to an other
console you can use Ctr+ALt+F?. This is similar to using the console
switching when you run X.

I do not plan this. Normally it works also with DJGPP 2.0, except
when you are using commandlines longer than 126 characters.

This is probably not a commandline but an other problem for you.
You should describe it a little bit more (other users had also sometimes
a similar problem). Do you working with a project file or not?
If not working with a project, which files do have opened on the
desktop when you try to compile?
