Get DJVERIFY v0.33 from
<ftp://ftp.delorie.com/pub/djgpp/alpha/vrfy033a.zip>, and examine the
file 'cpu.c' for examples of detecting both CPU type and presence of an
FPU.  If you like, I can email you that file privately.

I don't know how to detect data like CPU speed, manufacturer, etc.
