If you are just going to post nonsense like this, don't even bother. 
Nobody
wants to hear it.  DJGPP is a great compiler.  The executables are
slightly
large, but they can be made reasonable with the -s option.  Did I hear
you
say that it wastes drive space?  My installation uses 20MB.  That's
pretty
good when you consider that BC++ 5.0 uses 175 for a full install.  If you
would like to show me a compiler which doesn't have lots of little
include
files, I'd be impressed.  It is a bit slow to compile with, but when you
consider
the quality of it's optimizer, I'd say it's a good tradeoff.  I would
very much
like to take you up on that bet about intel assembly, because you would
lose.  I have seen the quake source code, and all the assembly (.s) files
are commented quite heavily, as though someone actually wrote them.
Furthermore, a converter is only useful when you have existing code in
intel
that you wish to convert to AT&T, since they are hardly perfect, and do
not
usually produce compiling code without a little hand editing.

And let's not forget DJGPP's greatest advantage.  It's free.  All you
have
to pay for is ISP charges when you download it, or the cost of the
distribution
medium.  And for no charge you get the best technical support in the
world
via this wonderful ML/NG.

Of course, if you don't like DJGPP, that's fine with me.  I just think
you owe
an apology to Mr. Delorie, who has probably spent more time on DJGPP than
you can imagine, and is giving it to anyone who wants it for free.
