Did you see Michael Mauch's (sp?)
uclock() replacement puclock() posted
a couple of days ago.

This uses a Windows API call to replace
uclock if running under Windows.
Not sure how reliable it is (esp. under NT),
but I'm using it and have no problems
so far.
