This post probably won't help you much (maybe just make you feel better :-)
I still consider myself to be a newbie with djgpp (and with c in general)
but since I started, I have always used rhide, and have always used projects
within rhide and never had a problem.
Perhaps the problems that people are having is with the concept of projects
not with the implementation within rhide, i.e they are treating rhide just
as an editor that you happen to be able to do compiles within.
oh well, just my £0.02
