I have a similar problem -- the mouse still works, but the pointer square
is invisible.  Since I'm
using Windows95, I just run RHIDE in a maximized window instead of
full-screen, and I don't
lose the pointer (since Win95, not RHIDE/DOS, is drawing it.)
