A couple of weeks ago I got my DX4-100 up and running again after a HD
crash,
but I've run into problems specifically with Allegro programs. The demo
and
examples 22 - 25 don't run anymore -- they exit with an
"out-of-conventional
memory" error, while example 21 runs very slowly.(I have 588 K
conventional)
All my own software linked with Allegro doesn't work anymore either.I
use QEMM 7 and NDOS, and without autoexec.bat or config.sys loaded the
Allegro programs
work fine. Yes I have tried commenting out these files one line at a
time to try and isolate the problem, but that didn't help: it works
*only* when autoexec.bat and config.sys are not loaded. Using EMM386
instead of QEMM didn't help either. Before the
HD crash Allegro worked just fine.

Any ideas?
