Chapters 17 and 18 of the DJGPP FAQ list should be a good place to
start.  You can skip the sections that deal with hooking hardware
interrupts and inline assembly, if your programs don't do that.

The latest release of the DJGPP FAQ list is available as
v2/faq210b.zip from the same place you get DJGPP.
