Then why did you?

Then why did you use terms of vulgarity and insult in your message to
Eli? quote:

"Read the fucking FAQ its in section blar-d-blar.
FUCK OFF, just tell'em the answer."

You sure have a strange way of showing gratefulness.

Many people take the position of limiting vulgarity on the 'net
because of 'children', but the truth is there probably _aren't_ many
8-10 y.o. reading this list, and 'children' older than that use most
of the vulgarity. So, yes, anybody who feels the need to send an
unprovoked flame that only shows a lack of maturity, and vocabulary,
_is_ a child.

So you're saying that your religious views are typical of the UK?
Supporting evidence? Even if so, quite a bit of the traffic on this
list comes from countries besides the UK. Besides the big one under
Canada, their is also Spain, India, Australia, and several other. But
I guess you're an expert on those countries, too.

No, not good little Christians. Just leave out religious references
and talk about _programming_. I don't mind being offended, either
religiously or through excessive vulgarity, occasionally, but I'm
(relatively) sure most of the people on this list could do w/o it.

Yes. A definite yes. This is a good place for help, its interesting,
flames aren't appreciated, and you must not feel very good about
yourself.

I've honestly never met a 'programming nerd', and I know several
programmers, and I've met many more. From the quote marks you
apparently know this, but you still feel the need to defend yourself
from someone...who?

No, its not a crime to post anonymously. Yes, you're allowed to have
an opinion of your own. The only 'shite' (what an interesting
spelling! j/k) you would likely recieve from anyone in this group
would be exactly commensurate with that you gave everyone who
subscribes to the ml and found your pleasant little message in their
mailbox. As for your being 'part of this group', right now, thats
probably stretching it a wee bit.

At least it indicates a pleasant personality and goodwill towards his
fellow man.

Of course I have someone else's mind, it was transplanted there last
week. Speaking your mind and making a bumbling ass out of yourself
are two entirely different things. Do yourself a favor and join
another ml/ng for a while, engage in discussions, get your brain
flamed out, and learn what is and is not acceptable in polite
company.

P.S. These latest series of messages argue stronger than anything
else for a moderated, or at least closed, ml.
