Somebody will probably get upset, but I like to use DOS' edit.com.  It
has all of the search features that I ever use, including search,
replace, mutiple files, and carried indentation.  I use a small
emacs-like program called "M" for makefiles.  I have no idea where I
picked this up from, however.
