Depends mostly on your history ;-)
If you worked with Borlands IDE, you'll like RHIDE. The bug
list seems endless, but I use it everyday and it doesn't
cause more crashes than a well designed Windows program.
One really annoying bug is the SIGFPE hard crash. But
that's from gdb...
Emacs, OTOH, is probably much more than just an environemt
for developing programs. But it is very large.
