Because the Info-ZIP distribution has a couple of bugs in it that break
LFNs.  :(  Eli Zaretskii <eliz AT is DOT elta DOT co DOT il> has made the necessary
modifications to make the LFN support work, and would be glad to send
you the required patches.  I also have them, so you can ask me as well.

Theoretically, the next release of Info-ZIP should have the corrected
sources...
