I can't think why, unless there were more errors earlier on in the
make process. Note that you must expand subdirectories when you unzip
it; if your allegro directory has no subdirs you'll need to delete it
and unzip it again.

Other than that, use redir to redirect the output when you try to make
Allegro, and post that.
