You're perfectly entitled to do this as long as you don't use the C++
library. If you have a C++ program which requires streams but no more,
you can link in the iostr library instead. If you don't even need streams,
there's no problem at all. Check the licensing on any additional libraries,
though - I don't know about GRX.

I don't think it is legally possible to copyright a typeface - you can
copyright the name, but not the font itself. I'm not an expert on this,
mind you...
