That's a known bug with RHIDE 1.1 which was uploaded to simtelnet.
Please get the fixed executable from my website which fixes this
together with some other bugs.

This is not a bug but probably a misunderstanding from the
wrong words for that option. This option shows you not at
any time the matching parantheses but only if you type in
a new one. Try it to enable that option and after that
type the following:

{
  int i;
}

And you will see the result.
