The only other source of info about VDS that I'm aware of is the Microsoft
VDS spec (get PW0519.EXE from their ftp site).  It is only 25K compressed,
so if you want, I can mail it to you.  (I don't know if it will explain
what you are missing, though.) Other than that--maybe posting specific
questions on comp.os.msdos.programmer and other relevant groups will help?
