The makefiles there are designed so that you compile the entire DJGPP C 
library and all the utilities at once.  To compile DJTAR alone, you 
should look at the Makefile and issue its commands manually.  Try this:

	make -n djtar

then invoke the commands that Make prints from the DOS prompt.  The 
gcc.opt file is also inside djlsr201.zip.
