A very good point. It never occured to me that this would be a problem,
but you are absolutely right, it's a nasty restriction. I will fix it
this very evening :-) Thanks!

It still does, but it has become context-sensitive, so you have to click
on an object rather than anywhere on the screen background. I think this
makes it easier to use (one click to select an object and apply a
function to it, rather than you having to click twice), but please let
me know if you disagree...
