No, it's not just you! EVERYONE that I know who has NS3gold has the
EXACT same problem regardless of operating system. Only thing
different is that when it finally crashes, it only crashes itself on
my system (Linux :o), whereas they lose their whole OS ('95). :o)
I wrote NS too, and they basically don't give a shit. I got back a
"we really appreciate your comments and suggestions" bullshit
automated form letter and figured that bug reporting during a browser
war was pretty pointless, especially from a Linux user. (Even though
it crashes on ALL OSes.
Here is what I've done to almost totally stop NS from crashing.
1) Don't use the editor at ALL.
2) Don't use NS for email, use PINE instead.
3) Don't use NS for news, use PINE instead.
4) Don't open more than 1 browser window at a time.
5) Disable Java and Javascript (yes I've fixed the java problems like
everyone says, however I feel that Java still has trouble.)
Now NS only crashes once in a while instead of every 20 minutes.
