I had done a toy OS in TASM16, and now am using :

cc1
as     nasm
    ld
   coff

This works but there must be a better way!
It was the most like the way I did the 1st so I found it
 easy to start with.

If any one has a better way (totaly dos free) please let us know!
  Has someone made a BPMI (BiosProtectedModeInterface)?
