This was the original problem - shifting the wrong direction. (I think
you just made typo, though :)
Anyways, I admit - I _assumed_.  I assumed that the code would be
compiled on djgpp.  That's a pretty safe assumption though, right??? 
("It's a pretty safe assumption that the street's clear, right?" SMACK!!!
