You don't need that one with DJGPP: it knows about /dev/tty.

Why?  IMHO, any native DOS tool can be replaced with a ported Unix tool.

Call "_get_dos_version (1)" and see if it returns 5.50.  AFAIK, NT is the 
only case that returns that version number.
