Ok, I am using RHIDE and when I set my preferences such as tab to 3 
instead of 8, or change the screen size, it works, but only for that 
session. If I quit using RHIDE then come back later, the defaults have 
been restored. Is this the way it is supposed to work, or is there a way 
to save your preferences?
