I've just started too, and the most confusing things were the
tutorials designed with other compilers in mind. Not knowing any C or
assembler, and trying to pick up the basics is difficult when
"everybody else" uses a different format for assembler and several
other things.. (farpointers caused me some trouble at first... I still
don't know what they are, but I made a putpixel!) :)

I had a friend who was more familiar with Borland C and programming in
general to help, but I had to figure out a lot on my own. Maybe I just
looked in the wrong places...
