It sounds like the DPMI host for djgpp doesn't know as much about swapping as
Linux does :)
If it's CWSDPMI I'd say coerce it to use more virtual mem if needed. xf86quake
under Linux however, seems to refuse to swap out, meaning I can't run
Ultimate Quake on it (usually) :( In general, this is porbably just a
restriction of the DPMI host.
