`_dos_ds' is from DJGPP v2, and you have DJGPP v1.x (that's what EZ-GCC 
has, as far as I know).  I suggest you upgrade to DJGPP v2.01, which is 
the latest version.

Yes.  But DJGPP v1.x doesn't support near pointers either.
