I have seen several posts about trying to get djgpp to write 16 bit code
for the 8088-80286 class machines. So I just wanted to make a simple
suggestion although there are a multitude of compilers capable of
making 16bit code none of them can compare to the price of djgpp,
except maybe one... Mix Softwares Power C compiler. Now its not free
but you get the compiler and a reference book on the compiler and C in
general with it for $19.95 and then the debugger is another $19.95 ( but
of course the debugger is NOT necessary ) then if you really want to you
can buy the library source code for another ten bucks!!! If you want to
check it out see them at http://mixsoftware.com or call them at
1-800-333-0330
No I dont work for MIX or any other software company, but I don't feel
that people who are trying to write code for a non-32bit machine should
be forced to buy a $90+ compiler if you can find one that cheap.
If you don't like my suggestion don't spam or flame if you like it drop
a simple thank-you email if you like.
