Yeah I'm not sure how standard it is across SVGAs but my SVGA has
support fot 320x200x32K and all that's needed is to use the VESA
functions is to first find out if that color depth is supported at
that resolution then set it.  I'm working on a VESA lib right now that
would accomplish just that.  Unfortunately I have only got support for
blits and lines and pixels in 8-bit color modes, but you can use what
I have to set the mode then draw to it yourself by asking the library
what the address of video memory is.
