This one I can handle, the other, I don't have a clue.  He/They mean a
compatible shell that runs like MSDOS, but with all the neat enhancements
that the new technology affords.  Citing his specific examples, loading
bucketfulls of programs at one time without reaching the 640k barrier and
such.
