Hi DJGPPers and Jean-loup Gailly (author of gzip).  Happy (insert 
appropriate holiday here :) to all of you.

The current version of gzip does not handle long file names properly 
under Win95, as offered by the current version of DJGPP.  I have a (very) 
small patch which corrects this problem, added as an attachment to this 
message.

Hope that this is of some use to you all.  (I found that Info wasn't 
finding compressed files when LFN=y, because gzip was not just adding the 
'.gz' extension, but changing it to end in 'z'.  This patch fixes that.)
