I'm hunting for a good background WAV and XM player and mixer..
I've experimented with the SB library, but it only plays MODs and
that won't do. It works really well though.
Then I tried mikmod and I can't seem to get it to compile and
work.. even though I've heard really good things about it. I have a
soundblaster 16 and am running DJGPP v2.
Finally I tried the SEAL library, and that appears to work really
well except I can't get it to play background XMs without a loop to an
'updateaudio' function.. ie, there needs to be a loop running to keep
the XM playing.. as soon as I break the loop to clear the screen or
change graphics modes, the XM stops and usually something bombs.
This seems silly and I'm probably doing something wrong.
If anyone has any advice, please let me know.
Thank you very much,
Wolfe
