Just a note that because of these conflicts and my need as a DOS user for
some very important DOS4GW programs, I made QDPMI my default -- probably
a good choice for others running 32-bit DOS programs without Windows.

Also, I've been advised that although QEMM 8 has often been advertised
mainly for its Windows-specific stuff, the support for virtual memory
in the newer QDPMI makes the upgrade worthwhile for non-Windows users
also -- at least those of us who use DJGPP.
