Of course it's not a security hole. How could there be?

However, I had the following peculiar experience with bash and cat in a DOS
box under Windows 3.1:
===========================================================
weiqi: ~$ cat << EOF
>EOF
d:/USR/BIN/cat.exe: -: Bad file descriptor (EBADF)
===========================================================

Any insights?
