It does look in these directories, but you need to tell gcc to actually 
search those libraries; it doesn't search every library in the djgpp/lib 
directory, only those you tell it.  I'd guess you either don't mention 
those libraries on the gcc command line or do it in incorrect order.  
Please post an example of a gcc command line which you use.
