This is covered in the material on Delorie's site. I'll also add
the announcement of an upload to the redhat site to the end of
this note (I haven't tested).

I don't know what this means. dosemu runs DOS programs. Is someone
producing dosemu-specific code (other than that delivered with
dosemu)?

Note that the djgpp tools work in dosemu, so this provides a way
to "make a DJGPP program under unix/linux", although it could be argued
that this isn't really "under unix/linux".

Subject: Announce: RPM of Linux->DOS cross compiler
   Date: 24 Oct 1996 05:20:27 GMT

This is to announce the RPM (Redhat Package Maintenance) distribution
of the Linux to DOS cross compiler based on DJGPP. The package
contains everything you need to create DOS binaries without running
   DOS.

Incase you don't know, RPM is a neat way or installing a new program
without having to read instillation instructions and, if you choose,
without having to compile. What's more, an RPM package can be removed
as easily as its installed, perhaps to make way for a newer version.

To run the cross compiler you will need Linux and RPM 2.2.7. The RPM
packaged cross compiler is available at:

     ftp://ftp.redhat.com/pub/incoming/djgpp-2.1-1.i386.rpm
     ftp://ftp.redhat.com/pub/incoming/djgpp-2.1-1.src.rpm

The cross compiler was built using the instructions in the DJGPP FAQ.
I changed things a little so that all the support files are stored in
"/lib/gcc-lib" and the binaries are stored as "/usr/bin/dos-gcc",
   "/bin/dos-strip" etc.

The distribution is based on gcc-2.7.2, binutils-2.7, djcrx201,
   djdev201 (for libc.inf only) and csdpmi3b.
