Hi,
     thank's for all the help.  I'll put my serious errort into 
getting to know sword.  I'm also sure that there is nothing wrong with 
any of the headers just the way I'm trying to work out what to do with 
them.

     I've sorted myself out with make.  I had a silly in that I'd not 
unzipped the dot.zip.  Now I've got the dot.inf I can understand make.
