Aha - I didn't see the reason for your other post.  Okay, the best way
to do what you need is this.

1) Start from the current copy of DJGPP on your computer.

2) Get a stack of floppy disks handy.

3) CD to your DJGPP directory.

4) Issue the following command with PKZIP:

  pkzip -rP& a:\djgpp.zip *.* -x*.zip

5) Insert disks as needed.

Note that the above command will not store the djgpp distribution files;
that's what the '-x*.zip' is for.  If you want to take those along as
well, take out the -x parameter.

When you get to your laptop,

1) Insert the first disk.

2) Oo to the root directory of your laptop's hard drive.

3) Create a directory for DJGPP.

4) cd to that directory.

5) Issue the following command:

  pkunzip -d a:\djgpp.zip

6) Follow the instructions.
