Shall I tell you how many of my colleagues which think they could get 
away with the above ``easy'' approach then come running to me telling me 
that `malloc' runs out of memory even in large memory model (because the 
IDE has a ridiculously low default heap size)?  IMHO, the lazy approach 
only works for ``hello world'' programs.
