Subject: Problems debugging templates
Lines: 18

I tried to debug a program using multiple modules and template classes
via GDB and RHIDE. There are much problems with multiple modules and it
seems impossible to debug templates as they are in include files.
According to FAQ Section 12.8 it is a limitation of COFF format used
in djgpp. But *how* may I debug templates? Is it really impossible?
Of course I may insert correct module source code by editor while
debugging but it is very inconvenient and does not solve problems
with variable watching (in templates). I use djgpp C++ extensions and
can not use other compilers and debuggers (Borland C++ for example).
I like tricks with template classes and other C++ advanced features and
it causes much problems with debugging. I worked with Borland C++ and
successfully debugged similar programs with Turbo Debugger before getting
DJGPP, but now I do not want to leave it.
