I just heard on the radio today about a new tape drive software that treats
your tape drive like a normal lettered drive (similar to a hard drive or a
floppy drive) when used within Windows 3.1 or Windows 95.

The software is called "Tape-It" and is available in the trial edition called
"Tape-It Lite" from Imation, a new startup company spun off from 3M.

I think the idea is fantastic, and I'd encourage you all to check it out.

The DIRECT web page access to the files are as follows:

For the main Tape-It Lite for Windows 3.x program files, download:

	http://burlapin.imation.com/dsp/travan/tape-it/lite120.ZIP

For the Tape-It Lite for Windows 3.x documentation file, download:

	http://burlapin.imation.com/dsp/travan/tape-it/litedoc.zip

For the Tape-It Lite for Windows 95, download:

	http://burlapin.imation.com/dsp/travan/tape-it/tpitlt95.zip

These URLs will get you directly to the files without the registration hassle.

Otherwise, you can go straight to www.imation.com and go through all the
prompts and enter your first and last name and e-mail address as a minimum.

I was just trying to save you and their marketing department some wasted time.

These URLs have been proofread for accuracy.

Enjoy the convenience of accessing tape drives by a drive letter!

Steve

or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains sit
lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen!
