About a couple of months ago I decided to try and write a game in djgpp to
teach me how to program in C.

The result is called "Mazes" and has just been uploaded to x2ftp.oulu.fi
in directory /pub/msdos/programming/djgpp2.

I have not uploaded it because I think it is a particularly awesome game,
I uploaded it because I noticed that there are quite alot of posts in the
newsgroup requesting info on how to write tile-based scrolling games, or
where there was source code for games written in djgpp.

Please do not think that I am setting myself up as an expert on either
subject - I'm not. The code is not particularly good (any help on how I
could have done things better would be appreciated). I posted it because
it might help a fellow djgpp newbie start coding !

Please don't ask me to mail the game to you - I can't, theres a 64k limit
on my outgoing mail. Please don't flame me for writing a crap game - as I
said it was primarily an exercise in programming for myself, but it might
help someone else.

Finally, thanks for all the help the people of this newsgroup have given
me - even with the really stupid questions (I still squirm with embarrasment
over "can anyone help with the definition of int p=0,d[4];")

Cheers

Neil
