LFN=y is set in my DJGPP.ENV file *and* I just set it in the 
environment before I tried again.  Same thing.

It must have something to do with the spaces, because I do the 
following:

mkdir ThisIsMyNewDirectory<return>
cd ThisIsMyNewDirectory<return>

and it works fine.
