There is a way to disable a program from checking that
right click on the icon of the program you are running, then go to
properties at the bottom.  Then click on the program tab, then go to
advanced. then make sure there is no checkmark in the box next to "Suggest
MS-DOS mode as necessary

I sure hope this fixes the problem
