I don't know what's wrong, but! if you use gxx instead of gcc,
everything works out OK.

While on the topic of the STL, there's a wonderful introductory
tutorial available on at www.infosys.tuwien.ac.at. (I forgot the URL,
but I found it searching for "Standard Template Library Tutorial" on
Lycos or AltaVista.  I then downloaded the PostScript version, but the
printed pages have no mention of its URL.)

It might be a bit boring for you guys, but it does a wonderful job
leading me into the details of the STL.
