Please can you explain a little bit more exactly the situation?
Which version of RHIDE you are using? (select the leftmost menu in
RHIDE and there the entry "About RHIDE").

After compiling exit RHIDE and look, if the .o file was created because
there may be a bug, that the file compiled with an error but not shown
by RHIDE but the file was deleted. Try also to create a makefile
(Options|Write makefile) and build the program using this this makefile
and see what happened.
