Subject: Memory Requirements

This is sort of a silly question.

How exactly do I measure, how much memory a program written in DJGPP
requires? How does DJGPP decide when to use Virtual memory and when not to?
For example, if my program requires only 4 megs of ram, and I have a system
with 16 megs, wouldn't it use just the physical memory and leave virtual alone?

I'm confused.
